Application: For ponds up to a maximum of 2000 gallons- The Ecomax 2000 biological and mechanical pond filter incorporates Cyprio's new ''Turbulator Technology''. The in-built Turbolator integrated into the Ultra Violet Clarification sytem increases the unit's efficiency by even exposure of the water to the UV light by eliminating the possibility of air locks. Water leaves the UV chamber via a venturi, which aerates the water for a high oxygen content. The venturi's position in the filter is very important as the water is oxygenated before it enters the biomedia, which significantly increases the effectiveness and activity of beneficial bacteria. This results in a highly efficient breakdown of harmful pollutants in the water. The Ecomax filter contains 35% more Cypripak biomedia to promote the colonization of beneficial bacteria. A fine layer of foam traps any remaining solid particles as the water passes up through it. Clear healthy water then passes back in to the pond via two outlets on the Ecomax 2000. A drain is built in to the filter to flush out sludge which collects at the bottom. The floor of the filter is sloped so that the sludge collects around the drain for easy cleaning and maintenance. In addition, the Ecomax's bottom-upwards water flow gives better biological action. The Ecomax 2000 with its 9 watt UV Clarification system, reduces algae by clumping together the microscopic algae cells as they pass UV light so the resultant particles are large enough to be caught by the filter. The Ecomax 2000 filter is suitable for ponds up to 2000 gallons (with a maximum total length of goldfish up to 171 inches) or (with a maximum total length of Koi up to 114 inches). Pump flow through the filter should not exceed 1000 gallons per hour.
