Application: For ponds up to a maximum of 2000 gallons- The Ecocel 2000 and the Ecostar 2000 are affordable biological and mechanical pond filters for clear and healthy pond water. The Ecostar 2000 is the same filter as the Ecocel 2000 but is combined with an Ultra Violet Clarifier. The Ecocel 2000 filter gives effective filtration but due to the absence of the UVC unit, will not reduce algae. Both filters provide for aeration as water is oxygenated in the filter for healthy fish and efficient biological filtration. A layer of foam sieves out solid particles. Unique Cypripak biomedia has a high surface area to promote the colonization of beneficial bacteria. Should the water stop flowing, the tank will stay full so the bacteria will live longer. The Ecostar 2000 with its 9 watt UV Clarification system, reduces algae by clumping together the microscopic algae cells as they pass UV light so the resultant particles are large enough to be caught by the filter. The Ecocel and the Ecostar 2000 filters are suitable for ponds up to 2000 gallons (with a maximum total length of goldfish up to 129 inches) or (with a maximum total length of Koi up to 86 inches). Pump flow through the filter should not exceed 1000 gallons per hour.
