Application:
Can be used with other filters or with the following filters- Biotec 5 Biotec 10 Biotec 30 (UV unit must be above-ground) This UV unit "kills'' algae with UV light rays. The result is clear water and a re-establishment of the ponds biological balance. The UV is equipped with a bypass system. This system allows the lamps to be 100% effective by controlling the rate of flow. An integrated magnet device in this UV cleans the quartz glass tube quickly and easily. This protects the UV light-bulb from dirt and other materials. The magnet also increases the efficiency of the UV filter by reversing the polarity of the calcium crystals which in turn ensure that the vital parts are working. The function of the lamp can be checked at any time through an inspection window. The indirect light is diverted in such a way that it is not harmful to the human eye. This unit can handle flows up to 8000 gallons per hour when used with the bypass system incorporated in the Bitron 72 or 2500 gallons per hour when the bypass option is not used. The lamp should be replaced after 8,000 to 10,000 hours to ensure maximum performance. 1 year warranty !
