Description:
For many years,
Oase Pumps, Inc. has successfully built the Jumping Jet Flash system as the
"Flying stream of water". The
original system utilized a pneumatic cutting de-vice, and many
such Jumping Jets are installed in water displays, theme parks,
fairs, and exhibitions.
The new "next
generation" Jumping Jet now utilizes an electronic cutting device,
greatly simplifying the mechanics of the
nozzle. There is no requirement for an air compressor or high
pressure water pump, as the jet needs only the display pump
and electrical connection for installation. Since the cutting
device is electronic, without using air or high water pressure, the
jet operates almost silently. The new jet is smaller and
incorporates a larger laminar flow nozzle than other similar jets.
Oase Pumps, Inc.
Jumping Jets are available with internal lighting kits to illuminate the
water stream, and also are avail-able
without the chopping mechanism for a static laminar flow
display. Construction is of all high quality stainless steel with pvc
stabilizer screens and a brass submersible stepper motor and
brass light. Constructed to stand the test of time, undoubtedly
the best quality Jumping Jet available. Custom configurations
are available from the factory, please call with your requirements!
Undeniably,
the Jumping Jet water effect is the most stunning and popular fountain
display available. Where ever Jumping
Jet displays are installed, they are always a major attraction
and the subject of conversation.
The laminar flow
jet coupled with the cutting mechanism provides a very clean water jump,
enabling designers and architects
to use this effect over pedestrian walkways and other
dry areas. The water appears as a clear glass rod, and can be chopped
to appear as glass rods flying through the air. Many
Jumping Jets can be synchronized to achieve a choreographed display.
A popular variation on this concept is to have many
jumping jets hidden in different planters. The jets shoot, in sequence,
from
planter to planter, looking like leaping snakes.
The
Jumping Jet display is an attention-getter. Available in a portable
configuration, the Jumping Jet system would be an ideal
display for trade shows or any environment where attention
needs to be attracted.

Technical description:
Each
Oase Pumps, Inc. Jumping Jet requires a source of display water flow. This
can be a separate pump for each jet, such as
the Nautilus 60 or Atlantis 150 pumps from Oase, or multiple
jets can be supplied from a single pump. If a single pump is used to
supply multiple Jumping Jets, do not attempt to supply any
other water features from the same pump. The Jumping Jets have
an internal screen structure to remove turbulence from the
water, so it is advisable to include an in-line cartridge or bag
filter.
The screen mesh is 0.8mm (1/32"), so a 600 micron
bag filter would be adequate, sized for the flow of all nozzles.
The laminar
flow nozzle is located under the removable stainless steel shroud and
below the cutting mechanism, so care should
be taken never to exceed the maximum water depth shown on
the "Dimensional data" drawing. The Jumping Jet is a continuous
flow jet, so when the water is not exiting through the
top, it will be coming out from under the shroud. There is no
requirement
that the jet be in water, it can be run in a
"dry" location, provided the water expelled by the jet has a return path to the
fountain
This is
convenient in such installations where several jets "jump"
over a walkway from planters and are fed by a nearby
fountain. The
Jumping Jet location in the planters can be drained to the
fountain, as they are typically above water level
A
standard keypad programmable controller is available with plug in
connections for simple installation and low cost. Custom
controllers can provide synchronization with external
signals or sensors, and are quoted on a per project basis.
